SHA256SUMS lists the checksum of every file. Linux arch names: amd64
(most PCs and servers), arm64 (Raspberry Pi 4/5 with a 64-bit OS, ARM
servers), armv6 (any 32-bit Raspberry Pi OS).
Debian, Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi OS¶
sudo apt install ./birdpal_<version>_linux_amd64.deb
Fedora, RHEL, Rocky, openSUSE¶
sudo dnf install ./birdpal_<version>_linux_amd64.rpm
The .deb and .rpm install /usr/bin/birdpal, the systemd user units
(see Schedule), and an example settings file at
/usr/share/doc/birdpal/birdpal.env.example.
Other Linux¶
Unpack the .tar.gz and put birdpal in your PATH, for example
/usr/local/bin. The archive also holds the systemd units in
packaging/systemd/. They expect the binary at /usr/bin/birdpal.
Container¶
docker run --rm \
-e BIRDPAL_BBEMAIL -e BIRDPAL_BBPASSWD \
-e BIRDPAL_IMMICHSERVER -e BIRDPAL_IMMICHKEY \
quay.io/eddiefigsystems/birdpal --sync --tags
The same image is at docker.io/efigueroa/birdpal.
Warning: docker run --env-file keeps quote characters as part of a
value. Write the values in that file without quotes, or pass them with -e
as above.
