Ideas for later. None of these is planned for a release yet.

• Add docs for podman quadlets. Quadlets would solve the problem of 'how to schedule containers'. Plus they're rootless and I'm just some guy on the internet, you have no reason to trust my code.

• Metadata inside the files. An optional flag for --synclocal that also writes the description, date, location and tags into the saved copies (EXIF, IPTC and XMP) with exiftool. Apple Photos, Google Photos and the Windows and macOS file browsers ignore sidecars and read only what is inside a file. The sidecar stays. MP4 videos have no standard place for these fields, so they keep only the sidecar. The flag must never change the downloaded original before an Immich upload: Immich finds duplicates by the bytes of the file.

• Support for other Operating Systems. I had added builds with goreleaser to homebrew, Mac OS, Windows but couldn't devote time to testing them or even making sure they ran in the first place. If this project gets any traction outside of linux/container users then I might look into it.
